Enola Police Department, officers received a call about a missing dog on January 2 around 11:30 a.m.
The victim told police that his dog was missing from his home, according to the release.
Austin Caine Pavelic, 26, of Enola, was identified as the suspect during their investigation.
When officers spoke with Pavelic, he admitted taking the dog.
He has been charged and the dog has been returned to the owner.
This is not the first time Pavelic has been charged in a dog related crime.
He was also charged for letting his dogs run in "the neighborhood unattended," near his the home in the 600 block of Mountian Street, Summerdale on April, 25, 2022, the police stated in a release in May.
He was charged with misdemeanors for confinement within premises in both cases.
His preliminary hearing in the most recent case has been set before Magisterial District Judge Michael Sanderson on Feb. 22 at 2 p.m., court records show.
